A Decade of Resilience: Celebrating 520 Issues: What’s Next?

This week marks a significant milestone for “Resilient Wednesdays”—my 520th issue. It’s incredible to reflect on this journey that began a decade ago with a simple idea: to share stories, insights, and strategies that empower us to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and grace. Week after week, we’ve explored the many facets of resilience, from personal growth to the power of community, and it’s been a privilege to connect with so many of you along the way.

Someone asked me the other day how I’ve come up with topics every week. I shared that I keep my eyes and ears open, and something in my life always reveals resilience, usually from you, my clients, and readers.

Highlights from the Journey

Over the years, “Resilient Wednesdays” has covered a wide range of topics, each aimed at helping us all become a little stronger, a little wiser, and a little more compassionate. Here are just a few highlights:

  • The Power of Mindfulness: We’ve explored how staying present in the moment can transform our approach to stress, decision-making, and relationships, sharing practical tips on integrating mindfulness into daily routines.
  • Overcoming Adversity: From dealing with loss to facing career challenges, we’ve discussed the stories of those who’ve faced incredible odds and emerged stronger, offering inspiration to keep going when times are tough.
  • Building Emotional Resilience: Emotional resilience has been a key focus, with posts on managing emotions, building emotional intelligence, and developing coping strategies to bounce back from setbacks.
  • The Importance of Community: We’ve highlighted how surrounding ourselves with supportive people can make all the difference in our resilience journey, emphasizing the power of shared experiences and collective support.
  • Personal Anecdotes and Lessons Learned: Some of the most memorable posts have been those where I’ve shared my personal experiences—navigating family life, letting go of perfectionism, or finding joy in small moments. Your feedback on these stories has been a constant source of encouragement.
  • Stories from You: I am inspired by the stories you’ve shared in our work together and by your follow-ups to these posts and others

A New Chapter:

As I acknowledge this milestone, it’s also the perfect time to announce a significant shift in the journey of “Resilient Wednesdays.” After much reflection, I’ve decided that the 520th issue will be the final post in this series as it currently exists. But this is not an ending—it’s the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

I’ve made many changes in my career: clinician, small business owner, corporate executive, author, speaker, and consultant, all built on the experiences in my life.  It’s time for another change.

Over the next several weeks, I’ll be honing down my next chapter, and  I want to share it with you as we venture into the Fall. Like returning to school, Autumn is an excellent time to refresh and engage in a new year of learning.

I extend my deepest gratitude to you for your support and engagement. This has been the heart of “Resilient Wednesdays.” I hope you’ll join me on this new journey.

As I move forward, I’d love to hear from you—what topics or formats would you like to see more of? Your input has always been invaluable, and as we transition to this new platform, I want to ensure that this next series continues to meet your needs and interests.

Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Here’s to the next chapter!
